ByBlacks.com is ranked the #1 Black Canadian online magazine, having won three national ethnic press awards and recognition from former Prime Minister Justin Trudeau.
Founded in 2013, we've been empowering self-identified Black Canadian writers to cover topics ranging from new Black Canadian entrepreneurs, Black Canadian business profiles, Black Canadian history, and profiles on Black Canadian artists.

Who is behind ByBlacks.com?
Husband and wife team Roger and Camille Dundas are the co-founders of ByBlacks.com. But the website is a giant force powered by dozens of Black Canadian writers, contributors, and experts.
ByBlacks.com was founded in February 2013, profiling stories of interest to the Black Canadian community and highlighting the success of Black Canadians, something they feel is left out by the mainstream media.
They live by the mantra “Everyday excellence”, and are seeking out examples of this everywhere they go.
They are very proud to have received:
- a special certificate of commendation from Prime Minister Justin Trudeau in 2017, celebrating ByBlacks.com five year anniversary

Camille Dundas is the co-founder and editor in chief of Canada’s leading Black Canadian online magazine, ByBlacks.com. She has won three national ethnic media press awards and a commendation from Prime Minister Justin Trudeau. Prior to that, Camille spent 10 years as a TV news reporter and producer, working on national shows for both CTV and CBC.
